Stefan returns to Mystic Falls, his home town. He is followed by his rival brother Damon Salvatore, who has promised to make his life a misery. Stefan just wants to live a normal life (not easy for a century old vampire) and has fallen in love with a girl, but Damon starts killing people and makes things complicated. Soon the council suspects vampires, but can they stop them...
