Crown of Acorns by Catherine Fisher

Crown of Acorns

This was a really interesting book that is written in split time periods.  It tells the tale of more than one main character, but all centered around the  "Aquae Sulis" in Bath, England.

A mysterious girl, with a new identity...her name....Sulis, moves to her new foster home in Bath.  From there we follow the story three-fold and discover hidden secrets....

Here is a link to the the city of Bath and its historical seat of the Waters of Sulis

Other books by the author:

Sapphique The Relic Master : The Book Of The Crow 1 The Scarab (The Oracle Sequence) The Hare and Other Stories The Snow-Walker Sequence 3-In-1:  Corbenic (Definitions) The Interrex (Book of the Crow) The Oracle (The Oracle Sequence)
and many more...

Extract:  "The city was first established as a spa with the Latin name, Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") by the Romans in AD 43, although verbal tradition suggests that Bath was known before then.[3] They built baths and a temple on the surrounding hills of Bath in the valley of theRiver Avon around hot springs."
